in the future, you can see the status of shows of yours that aren't done by going to the contribution center (link on the left side of the main page)

http://www.archive.org/contribute.php

then click "See your contribution tasks that are not yet completed. "

http://www.archive.org/catalog.php?justme=1

you should see your two shows are in a grey bar with 'checkout' still on them. the two shows are checked out.

"The specified item was not found "live" in the US cluster or does not have metadata.
It may be in checked out state by you, looking now...
This item is checked out by another user, jason@galactic-trading.com. They will need to check it in first before you can check it out."

when you are done uploading the files of each, you need to 'checkin' the show. you can do that by clicking the checkin link at the bottom of the checkout/FTP page. or just click here:

http://www.archive.org/checkin/(insertshowIDhere)

let me know how that goes!

Thanks for the reply Tyler,

I was looking at the contribution center, but could not figure out how to pick the process up. In the past I'd left the browser window open and clicked on the link after my ftp'ing was done, but this time I could not do the import right then, so I shut down my pc.

I have no idea what checked out or in means or how to change it. I tried the link in your post (adding the show ID) and got a message that no record of the show being checked out existed, so I'm still stuck.

Thanks,

JAson

Hi,

So I see you got this one going and everything looks fine:
GPTN2005-11-14.391.flac16

The other one, GPTN2005-11-12.LSD2.flac16
is stuck because the machine it's on, ia331336, is offline and it can't complete the checkin process. I'll remove it once the machine's back online, since you seem to have uploaded it again:

GPTN2005-11-12.LSD-2.flac16
GPTN2005-11-12..lsd2.flac16

So GPTN2005-11-12.LSD-2.flac16 is up and public, but the other one is still checked out. Which of these should we keep?

Alexis

The LSD-2 version is complete, the other ones can be removed. I could not seem to do it myself.

I'd prefer to rename this one to take out the hyphen when the others get deleted, but it is no big deal.

Thanks for the reply

JAson

Hi Jason, the foldername is case sensitive I believe. So make sure that "GPTN2005-11-14.391.flac16" is exactly how you created the item.

If it is, the URL is:

http://www.archive.org/checkin/GPTN2005-11-14.391.flac16

However, that doesn't work for me, which means you used a different foldername when you created this item for uploading.

If all else fails, you may have to start over.
